Grassroots Giving 2016: shortlisted groups announced and voting opens
Voting is now open for the successful shortlisted groups in this year's Grassroots Giving programme.
Every application submitted for Grassroots Giving 2016 has now been put through the shortlisting process and we have now narrowed the list down to 376 organisations across the UK.
On this website you can see all the shortlisted groups listed region by region. It is now up the the public to vote for their favourite. You can vote online or in your nearest Skipton Building Society branch. You can find your nearest branch at https://www.skipton.co.uk/branchfinder
Voting will remain open until 14 October and the 163 groups with most votes will each be awarded £500.
These winners will be announced in early November.
Community groups from across the UK have been applying for a slice of £81,500 funding from the Grassroots Giving programme.
In the past three years, Grassroots Giving has donated a total of £241,500 to 483 small organisations. Last year we rewarded 162 groups with pots of £500 to help them continue their amazing work in local neighbourhoods across the country. We also uncovered more fantastic stories of hard work and dedication, UK wide, to add to the ones we saw in 2013 and 2014.
Details of all our winners so far can be found elsewhere on this website.
In 2016 we will be handing out pots of £500 to another 163 deserving causes.
