Christmas together for everyone
My group is called Christmas together, formally homealone, I Monica smith provide lunch and tea on Christmas Day for upto 80 people entirely on a voluntary basis. I fundraise throughout the year at Carboot sales and fates and donations from the local business and community. We have been running for 4 years to help people who are less fortunate or simply home alone at Christmas.
How would this funding have an impact on your community?
I would spend the money on embroidered aprons, extra mugs and glasses, crockery and cuterly. This beniefts people by providing a hot meal and company for those alone/ and less fortunate at Christmas. Over the last 4 years the number of people has increased and this year we aim to help over 80 people.
