Hull Zingari Cricket Club

Your story

Community Cricket Club's members who help with fundraising via raffles, tombolas, race nights and appeals.

Group introduction

We are a community inner-city Cricket Club, founded in 1896 and we are tenants of the Hull and East Riding Sports Club with 3 senior sides and junior sides for boys and girls aged 5-15. We have played on our present ground on Chanterlands Avenue since 1910. We front the HU6 area of Hull, which is one of the most deprived areas in the country.

How would this funding have an impact on your community?

We would spend the money on indoor cricket coaching in February, March and April for boys and girls aged 4-14. The benefit for us would be the involvement of juniors and parents in the club and moving juniors into senior cricket in future years, as well as protecting our club's future playing strength. We would expect 30 juniors each week for 12 weeks, so around 360 attendees.
