Chevin Socialites

Your story

Please can you help us keep the kettle boiling?

Group introduction

A nice brew can't change the world, but it can ease the moment. The Chevin Socialites fundraise to make sure that all haematology patients have the means to make themselves a drink during their stay (and free internet access for inpatients when funds permit).
Up to 1000 outpatients/day cases per week and 40 inpatient beds give a potential 80,000 brews a year. That's a lot of dunking!!

How would this funding have an impact on your community?

It would impact on all local cancer patients in haematology in the surrounding area. They have previously had to pay for the privilege of making a hot drink. This is run voluntarily with donations keeping us going and absolutely no profit is taken out, as all the money goes back into more cuppa's.
